What to do in a Blizzard

I'm sure everyone was worrying and wondering what we were up to here in the middle of the biggest blizzard in ten years! We went to work on Wednesday morning only to turn around a couple hours later to be sent home. We spent about an hour and a half making it ten miles, got stuck in a snow bank, got the car out and finally made it home safe. Once we got home, put on our sweats and took a nap, we spent the evening doing what anyone else would do in a blizzard - playing games with our neighbors. Good thing they were in great spirits, they showed up at our doorstep with their two dogs, ready to have some fun. They had to travel over a 4 foot snow bank to get to our house, but I believe they said it was quite worth it...

This is what we woke up to this morning in our backyard. Plenty of snow drifts covering our deck and grass. There are plenty more in the front and our window wells in the basement are full to the brim with snow.
In case of an emergency - make sure you have the "drinko" game... Modeled after "The Price is Right." In this case, the drink was right. Don't worry mom, those are just full of apple juice.
Moving right along, we played quite an intense game of Monopoly.
The Denver Airport is closed today (and it was closed yesterday)... The four of us (Craig, Elizabeth, Kody and Dutch) have a flight to San Jose tomorrow evening - so send us some positive energy that our flight won't be cancelled or totally delayed... All we want for Christmas is to be home with our families.
